The daily homework assignments are assigned to reinforce the skills that were covered in class. Please assist your child in completing these assignments. If your child is having difficulty completing the assignments on his/her own, I encourage you to assist your child (but don't do it for them).
1. Read to your child for at least 20 minutes. Fill out your reading log in your Read to Me Folder. Turn in your log at the end of the month. If you need a new reading log, you can download the file below.
2. Sight word Practice: Please have your child choose from one of the boxes below for some extra sight word practice. If your child is finishing his or her homework in less than 5 minutes, I encourage you to read your child some of the options below to help them with their sight words (found in their Caterpillar Binder) and become better writers!
3. Extra Homework Checklist: Please Click on the image Below to Download a copy of the Extra Homework Checklist (If you need an additional one)
1. Writing first name correctly.
2. Open up a word document and help your child type his or her first and last name. Help your child locate the "return" and "delete" keys and the space bar.
3. Tying shoe laces
***You should know what your child is capable of doing. If you feel that your child can do more, I encourage you to work with your child on reading, writing, and math skills that are more challenging. There are lots of free websites, apps, and workbooks that you can find in the book sections of stores like Walmart, Teachers Plus, Education Works or Fisher Hawaii.
